Abstract
This chapter defines the field of trauma informed research as a particular approach to research. This chapter utilises the case study of participatory public health intervention designed to engage professionals and practitioners from health, social care and education in their own research and practice development to support trauma informed practice. This case study highlights an approach termed 'trauma informed research' which underpins an aspect of learning and development designed to support system level change, one project at a time.
