Abstract

The reliability and validity of the 7-item form of the Francis Scale of Attitude towards Christianity (Adult) was examined among adults. In study one, among U.S.A., Republic of Ireland and Northern Irish adults, evidence was found for the reliability of the 7-item form of the Francis Scale of Attitude towards Christianity and its relationship to the 24-item form. In study two, among English and Northern Irish adults, the concurrent validity of the scale was further established by examining scores on the scale with religious, personality and trait anxiety measures,
