Abstract

Health and social care organisations in the Bradford Metropolitan district of West Yorkshire have a history of working with the regeneration initiatives at the heart of successive government health agendas. Local partnerships in health and social care across the statutory and voluntary sectors are well established and have enabled a clear vision for improved health, alignment of national and local priorities, and a track record of achievement in strategic planning. The district was well placed therefore to respond to the challenge of Health Action Zone (HAZ) pilots.
