Abstract
In October 2018, 103 female students at Barnsley College took part in an afternoon of activities designed to promote enjoyment and increase physical activity. This article highlights the importance of alternative opportunities, choice and social context when aiming to empower females to participate in physical activity whilst studying in further education (FE).
