Abstract

Alien visits to Earth, whether as invading forces arriving on green streaks from Mars or snapping up singers for intergalactic song contests, have long been a staple of science fiction. Our panel will discuss their favourite extraterrestrial visitors, what brings aliens to Earth, and how writers use these ideas as commentaries on the world.
