Abstract
This short article addresses the questions: How is the flagship series for Disney+, on launch, framed by promotional discourses?
How does the Disney+ exclusive ‘Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian’ behind the scenes programme exemplify the series’ positioning in relation to Star Wars and the creatives involved with the series, to prompt further engagement with the series and wider franchise? I outline how the series has been designed as family friendly Quality TV, and currently exemplifies exclusive, original and ‘plus’ content on Disney+.
