Biography

Tim Gomersall's academic background is in health psychology and qualitative methods. He undertook his PhD, a person-centred study of type 2 diabetes self-management, at the University of Leeds with support from an ESRC/MRC interdisciplinary scholarship. He has since held research and teaching positions at the University of Sheffield and the University of Huddersfield, as well as his current position as Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Leeds Trinity University. He has an extensive research and publication history in the areas of health and wellbeing, with particular interests in illness experiences, illness identity, and systematic reviews.
