Biography

Rachel Rudman taught English in a number of secondary schools in North and West Yorkshire for nine years before working in Higher Education. Whilst working in schools, Rachel had a range of responsibilities culminating in Head of English.  Rachel is an Assistant Principal Examiner for AQA and involved in regular delivery of training to English departments nationwide. She has recently co-authored an A level English Language textbook published by Cambridge University Press (2015) and regularly lectures on A level Language topic areas for dayschools.

Research interests

For the 2015-16 academic year, Rachel has been working alongside a colleague in the English department at Leeds Trinity University on a project entitled 'Pathways to PGCE'. The purpose of this has been to enable undergraduates interested in teaching to develop an appreciation of what a teaching career entails.

Research interests

In 2015, Rachel co-authored the AQA endorsed A level English Language textbook published by Cambridge University Press. She is currently working on another book to be published by Cambridge University Press around language development.
