Biography
Michael began his law enforcement career with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. He subsequently moved to the police canine unit where he specialised in narcotic, firearms and expolsives detection. He participated in several training programmes with UK police forces and has gained International experience.
After his policing career, Michael held positions such as security manager for major railway companies in the UK and board director for a UK finincal institution. He began to pursue an academic career and completed several professional qualifications including CIPD. Michael also gained two masters degrees a post graduate certificate in academic practice with fellowship from the higher education academy. He also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree and currently working towards a second doctorate in education with special emphasis on neurodiversity.
Michael has taught at several universities and police forces in the UK. He has several publications on policing, crime and society from and International perspective.
