Mark Allen is Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Theraputic Studies at Leeds Trinity University. He completed his PhD in Psychology at Staffordshire University (2009) and worked in the Department of Applied Science at London South Bank University (2008-2014) before moving to the University of Wollongong, Australia (2014-2022) and joining Leeds Trinity University in 2022. Mark has published over 100 journal articles and is a world-leading expert in sexual and reproductive health. His research focuses on the treatment and prevention of chronic conditions including sexual dysfunction and infertility. He is particularly interested in understanding the role of healthy living and individual differenece factors in male and female sexual dysfunction. Recently, his work has explored the psychosocial processes involved in fertility and fecundity, and how rejection sensitivity relates to romantic relationship parameters such as sexual risk taking and intimate partner violence. In 2019 he helped develop a certified medical program for the treatment of erectile dysfunction operating in Europe and the US.
