Biography

Liz is the author of the gritty Northern Noir series of crime fiction books set in Bradford, featuring DI Gus McGuire. (Novels include; Unquiet Souls, Uncoiled Lies, Untainted Blood and Uncommon Cruelty.

She teaches creative writing, participates in panels at Literary festivals and runs the acclaimed blog The Crime Warp. 

Liz is currently working on a Creative Writing PHD research project entitled,'Incorporating the teen voice ina post-digital age adult crime fiction novel'

Her research includes engaging with current debate around Cultural Appropriation, How the disenfranchised are portrayed in the crime fiction genre and The place of the crime fiction novel in both, the wider literary world and within academia. She is available for comment or to write articles on any of the above subjects.
