AFter completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Kent State Univesrity , Chandra completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric and Clinical Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. From 1998-2002, she worked as a staff psychologist in a psychoeducational day treatment program for adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral problems. Chandra was at Michigan State University for 17 years, first at the university counselling center and then in the College of Veterinary Medicine. In the College of Veterinary Medicine, she led the counselling and wellness program for students from 2004-2016 and then served as the Assistant Dean for Student Wellness and Engagement from 2016-2019. She then worked in independent clinical practice providing psychological services to adults, children, and couples in the United States before moving to the United Kingdom in 2021.
