Personal profile
Biography
My research expertise lies in the field of social marketing, experiences in tourism, ethics and responsible consumer behaviour, drawing upon theoretical frameworks from disciplines including environmental psychology and sociology. Previous consultancy projects for small businesses and non-profit organisations have been in the field of developing tourism strategy, digital marketing strategy and business development.
I have extensive experience of supporting socially and culturally diverse staff and student populations locally and overseas. With a proven aptitude for interpersonal communication skills, managing and coordinating multi-stakeholder relationships has required the development of emotional intelligence. As such I have demonstrated the ability to adopt a situational leadership style, readily adapting between transactional and transformational practice when required. With an eye for detail, I have influenced institutional academic policy and practice particularly within academic quality.
Educated to PhD level I have taught in areas of business management, marketing, tourism and hospitality from foundation through to post-graduate degree levels.
