Biography

Julian holds a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree and a post graduate diploma in Occupational Psychology from the University of Hull, a DPhil in the area of Children's Drawing Development from the University of York, and a post graduate certificate of learning and teaching in higher education from the University of Leeds. He has enjoyed a varied career in Psychology; working with the Ergonomics Research Group at Hull University, for Pat Lindley and Dave Bartram at their Occupational Psychology consultancy in Hull, and on various international research projects in the field of children's drawings. Julian joined Leeds Trinity University in August 2001 where he teaches Developmental Psychology at all undergraduate levels. Julian is the Programme Leader for the BSc ( Hons) Psychology and Child Development Programme.

Research interests

My current research interests are in the areas of adoption, family relationships and children’s drawing development. I am currently writing a paper on the design of a developmental scale for scoring children’s drawings of buildings.
