Biography
Jan worked in the regional print media for 14 years, including working as a health reporter and on newsdesk, before starting teaching on the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) courses at Sheffield College. She gained a PGCE and has taught at Leeds Trinity since 2009. She is also a marker and moderator for the NCTJ and an external examiner for journalism at Blackburn College.
Published case study on work-based learning in journalism training; currently studying for a Masters in Applied Linguistics.
