Biography

 

Helen is an Associate Principal Lecturer in Secondary Education. After completing a degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge, she then went onto complete a MA in Philosophy from the University of London.

 

Helen joined Leeds Trinity University in 2009, where she began her current role as an Associate Principal Lecturer in Secondary Education. Before she joined Leeds Trinity, Helen worked at Watford Grammar School for Girls where she was Second in RE. She then worked at Camden School for Girls where she was Head of RE and Classics.  She has also taught on the PGCE RE at York St John.

 

 

Research interests

 

Helen’s research areas are: Assessment beyond level, Holocaust Education and Using philosophy in the classroom. She can be consulted by external organisations and professionals on Religious Education in Primary and Secondary Schools.

 

Teaching and Administration

Helen teaches on the PGCE Secondary Religious Education course.
