Christopher Sellars

I am currently Head of School and Associate Professor (Professional Practice) at Leeds Trinity University.

My applied and academic background spans 10 years in sports development and coach education, before focusing on applied sports science (in particular sport psychology). I have provided one-to-one sport psychology support for a range of international and world-class athletes from, for example, track and field athletics, judo, football, as well as working in professional football academies, elite centres of excellence and development squads - this included Olympic and European medalists. 

In terms of teaching and learning, my focus has been in sport and exercise psychology, as well as developing applied opportunities through WBL and placements (and have written and presented research in these areas). This has included developing international opportunities for sport students in countries such as India and Singapore. I have also managed TNE provision in these countries and Mauritius. 

In terms of Knowledge Exchange, I have previously generated approximately £400K in consultancy and student bursaries, primarily from professional sport and County Sport Partnership projects.
