Biography
Christine is a Business & Entrepreneurship Lecturer at Leeds Trinity University. She graduated with First-Class Honours from the British University in Egypt, holding another BSc (hons) degree from Loughborough University as well as a Master degree from University of New South Wales, Sydney. She is currently completing a PhD in Entrepreneurship at the University of Strathclyde.
Prior to joining LTU, she has worked at the University of Strathclyde and the British Univerity in Egypt. Christine has a genuine passion for multi-disciplinary collaboration, which is evident through her involvement in various projects that extend beyond the boundaries of her primary field. She has successfully worked on international research projects bridging gaps between disciplines such as cultural heritage, urban studies, and anthropology, showcasing her versatility and eagerness to explore new areas of knowledge.
Research interests
Christine has a track record of securing internal and external grant awards. She has served as a Co-Investigator (Co-I) and Principal Investigator (PI) on multiple successful grant applications. These grants have allowed her to conduct impactful research, contribute to the academic community, and further the understanding of entrepreneurship and related fields.

- Contextualised Entrepreneurship
- Social Entrepreneurship
- Migrant and Minority Entrepreneurship
She is particularly interested in qualitative and creative research methods as well as contextual approaches for understanding entrepreneurial experiences.
Teaching and Administration
Christine's teaching pedagogy is engaging and interactive, based on problem solving activities, class discussions and debates. She has taught Entrepreneurship, International Management and Marketing modules in different universities including Leeds Trinity University, the University of Strathclyde and the British University in Egypt.
She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
