Catherine is a Senior Lecturer in Sport and Physical Activity. She has been at Leeds Trinity in Lecturer / Senior Lecturer capactities since 2006, predominantly teaching in the areas of Sports Development, Sports Coaching and Physical Education. She is the programme leader for the BA (Hons) Physical Education and Sports Coaching and the Foundation Year in Sport and Health programmes.
Her career started in sports development where she worked with young people in schools and in the wider community. Being based in both primary and secondary school settings she has gained a wealth of experience in school sport.
She was involved in working with key partners to strategically manage programmes of physical activity and sport for young people and adults. She has coached in a variety of sports in the UK and abroad.
Catherine has a broad range of academic interests; she has a postgraduate teaching qualification, a Master of Science degree, is an Advance HE Senior Fellow and has a keen interest in employability.
Catherine enjoys most sports, travelling and of course her job!
