Biography

I joined the Leeds Trinity University as a Lecturer in Psychology in the summer 2020. Before coming to Leeds Trinity University, I completed my doctoral studies and post-doctoral work at Bangor University. At Bangor, my research focused on the typical and atypical development of spelling and handwriting skills.

Research interests

I am interested in how we learn to read and write and what happens when we struggle to do so. This interest spans three related areas including (a) the development of spelling and handwriting, (b) disorders which impair our ability to learn to write (e.g., dyslexia, developmental coordination disorder, and dysgraphia), and (c) assessment and (remote) intervention of literacy difficulties. I examine these topics using a mixture of correlational and experimental designs.
