Ashley is a sports therapist, who is accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists. Having a BSc with First Class Honours in Sport & Exercise Therapy, Ashley progressed to achieve an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine.
Ashley is currently working towards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and currently holds the position of Teacher in Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation at the University.
In the applied setting, Ashley has experience working within academy football at Leeds United Football Club. He has also worked in men’s semi-professional football for Guiseley Association Football Club, before progressing to a teaching capacity at the university.
Ashley currently teaches across a range of sports therapy modules. some of which include, functional anatomy, evidence-based rehabilitation, skills for sports therapy, injury treatment modalities, clinical movement screening and sports trauma. He is passionate about teaching and developing competent undergraduate sports therapists.
