Senior Lecturer in English with the Department of Humanities, specialising in Renaissance literature (with a focus on poetry and drama), Victorian literature, and creative writing (at both graduate and undergraduate levels). 

Research interests

Myth; George Gascoigne; Petrarch; Victorian literature, especially gothic, horror, and fairy tale (co-edited a volume of essays); Elizabethan sonnet cycles (preparing a scholarly edition); creative writing (author of two poetry collections); interconnections between Rumi and English metaphysical poetry.
