Biography
Abi Lancaster has an academic background in Health and Social Care, Public Health and Nursing, having previously completed PGCE Vocational Education and QTS teacher training and a master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Bradford. Abi has over twenty years’ experience of working in clinical practice as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in both hospital and community settings. Abi has worked in both secondary and further education and moved into higher education in 2012 as a programme leader for undergraduate health related courses. Abi joined Leeds Trinity University in 2020 as a Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care teaching across a range of modules at both undergraduate and master’s level. Abi is now the Academic Lead for Nursing in the School for Health, Sport and Life Sciences.
