Organization profile
Welcome to the Faculty of Business, Computing and Digital Industries at Leeds Trinity University.
The Faculty boasts a wealth of staff expertise across a range of disciplines, a strong focus on the development of employability skills in our students and an emphasis on research, particularly through the work of our two research centres – the International Research Centre for Interactive Storytelling (IRIS) and Leeds Centre for Victorian Studies.
Our current undergraduate degree programmes cover Business, Computer Science, Media, Film, Television, Journalism, English and Creative Writing. Staff also contribute apprenticeship programmes in management, leadership and policing.
There is postgraduate provision in Business, Journalism, Victorian Studies and Creative Writing. Staff also deliver CPD to external organisations, with a track record in media training and social media development, along with business development.
Thanks to excellent television and radio studios facilities, along with a range of other media production opportunities, the School is able to offer its students the opportunity to work with industry-standard equipment and on a plethora of creative projects, many of which are outward-facing or involve work with external clients or organisations.
Our staff have strong links with employers and a range of professional organisations. These links are used to bring real-world issues into teaching sessions, to underpin our placement provision for undergraduate students and to provide a range of opportunities for experts to visit the University or students to get involved with external events.
Key developments for the School are around enhancing and developing undergraduate provision to ensure excellent student experience and attainment, growing our research expertise, outputs and associated income and developing knowledge exchange opportunities.
