#WomenEd: Unlock the ITT pipeline to ensure race equity in schools

    Activity: Invited talk/public lecture/debate

    Description

Significant ethnic disparities in progression occur in Initial Teacher Training (ITT). People with a diverse heritage are over -represented amongst applicants but less likely to be accepted to an ITT course than their white counterparts. (https://www.nfer.ac.uk/publications/ethnic-diversity-in-the-teaching-workforce-evidence-review/)

WomenEd find this shocking and we are collaborating with BAMEedNetwork and HeadTeachers' RoundTable to lead a conversation about tackling such inequity. By the end of our event, we want to have agreed clear actions to change these outcomes. Join in the discussion and let's all disrupt this inequity.
