Description
R3connect Live is the final part of the R3connect project, disseminating research findings outside of academia to the wider community. R3connect Live presents a series of events in 2024 touring across the North of England. The events feature research posters and artworks from a realist evaluation exploring how, why and in what context do community arts activities enable recovery from serious mental illness. The event runs in three parts: 1) Screenings of animations created by artists with lived experience of mental illness, created through the free animation course that made up the first part of the R3connect project. 2) Creative engagement and conversation with the audience, with opportunities for mark making in response to artworks and the research. 3) A short concert from Leeds-based Clothworkers Quartet performing that includes a specially commissioned piece of music for the R3connect project entitle 'Maintaining Effort', which translates the research findings into music.
